We would like to inform you about the processing of personal data carried out by BBH, advokátní kancelář, s.r.o., with its registered office at Klimentská 10, 110 00 Prague 1, Company ID No.: 261 43 119, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague, Section C, File No. 218820 (hereinafter also referred to as “BBH”, “we”, “our”, or the “Company”), in connection with recruitment procedures for filling vacant job positions.

This notice includes not only a description of the personal data processing carried out, but also your rights vis-à-vis us as the data controller. We therefore kindly ask you to read this notice carefully and retain it for future reference if necessary.

1. Introduction

As you are an applicant or a candidate interested in job vacancies at BBH, we process your personal data in connection with recruitment procedures in order to assess all candidates applying for a given position.

We process your personal data both electronically and in hard copy, in our capacity as the data controller. We always handle your personal data with due care, in accordance with applicable legal regulations on privacy protection, and strive to ensure the highest possible level of security.

2. Sources of Personal Data

We obtain personal data relating to you directly from you. We process only the personal data that you provide to us, for example primarily in the form of your CV or when completing forms on websites operated by our Company or by third parties with whom we cooperate (e.g. pracevpravu.cz, jobs.juristic.cz, prace.cz, jenprace.cz, volnamista.cz, careerelsa.cz, kariera.cz), during personal meetings, by telephone, in writing, by email, or through other means of communication (e.g. SMS), and in the course of further communication with our Company.

3. Overview of Personal Data Processed

We process personal data of applicants obtained during recruitment procedures for vacant positions. It is not possible to list all categories of personal data processed, as applicants provide information in their CVs and attachments, where the scope may vary.

Typically, we process the following personal data:

  • first name, surname, academic titles
  • date and place of birth
  • permanent residence address / contact address
  • telephone number
  • email address
  • professional experience and employment history
  • language skills
  • education, completed courses, training, and certificates
  • skills, competencies, and personal interests
  • information about holding a driving licence
  • photograph (if provided as part of the CV)
  • other information included in the CV
  • records of communication with the applicant

We do not require personal data that is not necessary for the given purpose, in particular we do not require personal identification numbers, ID card numbers or copies of identification documents; such data should not be included in your CV.

4. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

There are several legal bases that entitle us to process your personal data; at least one of these must be fulfilled for the processing to be lawful.

Processing may be necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, for taking steps prior to entering into a contract at the request of the data subject, for compliance with our legal obligations, or for the purposes of our legitimate interests. In other cases, your consent is required.

These situations are described in more detail below:

Processing without your consent

This mainly includes processing for the purposes of recruitment procedures and negotiations on the conclusion of an (employment) contract.

By applying for a specific job position—whether via a form on our website or third-party platforms through which we advertise vacancies, or by sending us documents such as your CV or cover letter—you express your interest in applying for the position and in concluding an (employment) contract.

We process the above personal data for the duration of your participation in the recruitment process and solely for the purpose of conducting that process.

We may also process personal data to comply with legal obligations (e.g. accounting and tax laws) or to protect the legitimate interests of BBH, such as the protection and enforcement of our legal claims. For these purposes, personal data may be retained for up to 2 years after the end of contractual cooperation.

Providing personal data for these purposes is voluntary; however, such processing is necessary to carry out the recruitment process and fulfill our legal obligations. Therefore, your consent is not required.

Processing based on your consent

We also process your personal data for purposes requiring your consent, to the extent and for the duration specified in that consent.

Typically, this includes retaining your data after the recruitment process for the purpose of sending you relevant job offers or opportunities at BBH.

Providing consent is entirely voluntary and is not a condition for concluding a contract; however, without it, we may not be able to fully meet certain expectations arising from such cooperation.

5. Retention Period

At BBH, we retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this notice, i.e. for the duration of the employment relationship and subsequently for up to 2 years, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

After that, your personal data will be deleted or anonymised. In the event of legal proceedings, data may be retained for the duration necessary to protect our legal claims.

6. Transfer of Personal Data

To ensure proper operation, we primarily rely on internal resources. However, in some cases we use third-party service providers (e.g. IT system administration, audit services).

For this reason, your personal data may be shared with the following entities:
PREMIER system, a.s.; AMI Computers s.r.o.; EDM Utilitas Audit, s.r.o.; Vojtěch Kločurek; and Praetor Systems s.r.o.
