Consumer Information

BBH provides consumers with information on the price of legal services or the method of its determination in advance, prior to the commencement of the provision of services, so that the price corresponds to the mutually agreed terms. Information on the price of legal services is also an integral part of the legal services agreement concluded between BBH and the consumer before the provision of legal services begins.

The amount of BBH’s remuneration is determined based on an individual agreement with the consumer, taking into account the consumer’s needs and capabilities, as well as the time and professional complexity and the value of the specific case. Depending on the agreement with the consumer, BBH’s remuneration may be structured as an hourly fee, a fixed fee for a specific legal act, a flat fee, or a contingency fee.

BBH invoices the consumer for services provided on a monthly basis, usually by the fifteenth day of the month immediately following the month in which the legal services were provided. BBH’s invoices are payable on the due date specified in the invoice, but not earlier than ten days from the delivery of the relevant invoice to the consumer. The consumer is entitled to terminate the agreement with BBH in writing at any time, even without stating a reason. In the event of termination by either party, the notice period is three months and begins on the date the written notice is delivered to the other party.

Out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes in the area of disputes between an attorney and a consumer arising from legal services agreements, pursuant to Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection, as amended, is handled by the Czech Bar Association.
