Our firm was established under the name Brzobohatý Brož & Honsa in 2000 in Prague with a clear vision: to provide top-tier legal services in the fields of commercial and financial law and to become a long-term strategic partner for the most significant players in the market. The firm was founded by Tomáš Brzobohatý, Josef Brož and František Honsa, whose names continue to represent the values and professional integrity of our firm. Since 2010, we have operated under the business name BBH. Our Bratislava office was established in 2007 following intensive prior cooperation between the Prague-based BBH and a team of lawyers led by Olga Beláňová under the banner of the established Slovak law firm Beláňová & Bak.

From the very beginning, we have been involved in key transactions, disputes and restructurings that have shaped the Czech and Slovak markets. A major milestone was our participation in the restructuring of the Czech banking sector at the turn of the millennium. We subsequently represented clients in international arbitrations and in exceptionally complex court proceedings.

Today, we are an established firm with more than a quarter century of experience and a team of 110 professionals based in our Prague and Bratislava offices. We rank among the largest law firms in terms of turnover, revenue and profit. The firm and our key experts are regularly ranked at the top of international directories such as Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR1000. In addition, in 2025 the Czech edition of the prestigious Forbes magazine included us among the Top 10 law firms on the market. In the Slovak Slovak Spectator ranking, we have also long been listed among the most successful law firms.
