BBH is a legal consultant to SAFE DIESEL, which brought an action on behalf of 911 customers in the Dieselgate case.
BBH is a legal consultant to SAFE DIESEL s.r.o., which unify the injured consumers and other affected owners of Volkswagen cars who are affected by the Dieselgate case of manipulating emission limit tests in laboratory testing of vehicles in order to meet the prescribed limits.
On 18 September 2017 at the District Court for Prague 8 SAFE DIESEL s.r.o. brought a joint action against Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft and ŠKODA AUTO a.s. on behalf of 911 Czech owners of Volkswagen vehicles affected by the Dieselgate case for the purpose of recovering the damages. The amount of damages claimed is CZK 220,000 per vehicle affected by the Dieselgate case. This amount corresponds to the $ 10,000 equivalent (at $ 22 / USD), which corresponds to the amount of compensation that US customers affected by the Dieselgate case may obtain from an out-of-court agreement with Volkswagen in the US.
